The Indio Visitors Bureau is pleased to announce the 1st Annual Indio California State BBQ Championship and Festival brought to you by the City of Indio, and the Indio Chamber of Commerce,
50 of the Best Pit Masters in the State will be competing for a $10,000 prize at the inaugural Indio State BBQ Championship and Festival on Saturday, November 14th from 10 a.m. – 6:00 p.m.
Festivities will include a sanctioned BBQ contest, food vendors, a local “King of the Desert” BBQ competition, live music, classic car show, games, craft beers, train rides and more. Competition entry is free and open to the public.
Participating craft breweries include Goose island, La Quinta Brewing Co., Firestone Walker, Black Market Brewing, Hangar 24, Coronado Brewing, New Belgium, Ninkasi, Drake’s, Bootleggers Brewing, Golden Road Brewing and Speakeasy.
How about a good old fashioned wild west show? The BBQ Festival is pleased to announce the performing troupe “Guns of the Roundtable” will be presenting their authentic wild west show during three presentations at this year’s festival. The show features a complete western town set. Don’t miss a piece of history.
