The Astronomical Society of the Desert brings the skies and the desert floor to life with Giant Telescopes and Binoculars.
Bring the kids for this fun family event, learn all about the stars and constellations above the Coachella Valley and see what creatures in the Desert come to life after dark with black lights to seek out the various night creatures inhabiting the desert. Some creatures that might be found are: scorpions, tarantulas, lizards, geckos, spiders, owls, jackrabbits, snakes and maybe a coyote.
This weeks Sky at a Glance, is published every Friday by Sky and Telescope with simple sky maps and observing tips for the upcoming week.
