Art Under the Umbrellas shows are one-day events located in Old Town La Quinta from 10am to 4pm this Saturday November 16, 2013.
Over 70 artists participate at each Art Under the Umbrellas event, located along the closed-off streets of this charming outdoor venue reminiscent of colonial Mexico. This makes for an enjoyable day outdoors perusing artist wares, exploring Old Town shops, and dining in Old Town restaurants. Art patrons will find quality artwork, while tourists will discover treasured mementos.
Live music complements the event and sets the stage for fun. Don’t miss a spectacular day in the sun-warmed desert air, taking in the beauty of artist wares, exploring shops and dining in the best of Old Town’s restaurants.
Art Under the Umbrellas embraces a combination of Artist newcomers, along with veterans of La Quinta Arts Festival. We are fortunate to have the support of local Artists, and those coming from all over Southern California.
Hotel clientele at La Quinta Resort, Embassy Suites, Santa Rosa Condos, as well as neighboring properties in Indian Wells and Palm Desert, flock to the desert to celebrate the long holiday weekends. Traditionally these are the busiest weekends in the Coachella Valley.
Directions to Old Town La Quinta: From I-10 or Highway 111, take Washington Street south. Go west on Calle Tampico for two blocks; Old Town is on the left.
