The Living Desert Zoo & Gardens – Palm Desert

The Living Desert Zoo and Gardens The only zoo in the desert!  Replicating desert’s from around the world including the indigenous wildlife, plant species & ecosystems. Located in Palm Desert, California, The Living Desert is full of fun events and programs for children and adults alike including “Family Safari’s”  that give you a behind the scenes visit with the animals. Hop aboard the “Doom” buggy for a Fright Night through the wilds of Africa during the Howl-O-Ween Harvest.  Bring a picnic basket and bottle of wine and enjoy The “Jazzoo Concert Series” with big name jazz artists from around the country. You’ll be mesmerized by nearly 1 acre of “G” scale Model Trains traversing the desert landscape. Beginning Thanksgiving weekend, is WildLights a delightful season event for all ages with over 750,000 dancing lights, ice skating, Santa’s Village and roasting smores on an open fire to name a few of the fun events for the family to enjoy.

Close to the The Living Desert is Ironwood Country Club, a private golf club with two Championship Golf Courses. Home styles include “Lock & Leave” Condo’s, Single Family Homes and Custom Fairway Estates. Monterra is a luxury gated community in Palm Desert with just 95 homes, many with over-sized view lots overlooking the valley.  The Reserve is an exclusive private guard gated community with custom fairway estates.

June 1 – Sept 30: 8:00 am to 1:30 pm with last admission at 1:00 pm
