Indio, "The Place to Be" 

Indio began as a winter home for the Native American's living in the surrounding mountains looking for the warm weather in the palm oasis that is now the Coachella Valley and later became the halfway stop for the rail road between Los Angeles & Arizona. Expansion of the All American Canal brought growth to the agricultural industry, which made Indio the center for valley processing and packing facilities for valley produce.   

Today, Indio is a vibrant city with Casino's, Live Entertainment, Art Festivals, Polo Competition's, Equestrian Centers for Boarding & Riding, Dog Show, The Date Festival and home of the valley's Enterprise Zone, which provides financial incentives to companies of all sizes to locate their business in Indio. From Single Family Homes, Exclusive Golf Resorts to Rural Equestrian Estates, Indio has something for everyone.
